Title: Trilateral Cooperation to Promote Digital Innovation in Ghana

Date: June  - August, 2020

Country: Accra, Ghana

The goal of this trilateral cooperation is to promote governmental awareness for digital innovation in order to support the development of a digital policy framework of Ghana. The trilateral support program on innovation in Ghana is based on the last German-Israel G2G consultations and recent development dialogue between MASHAV - Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation and BMZ - the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in September 2018, where it was decided to launch a pilot cooperation on socio-economic development through entrepreneurship and innovation in Africa. A proud outcome of this dialogue is the successful implementation of the first joint training for practitioners from the African digital economy in 2019.

Considering the vital innovation ecosystem in Ghana, the high awareness of the government and the strength of the private sector, Ghana is offering great potential for cooperation. The goal of this cooperation is to identify opportunities to support the policy framework of Ghana for digital innovation through entrepreneurship.
